On Friday’s episode of The Graham Norton Show, Anne Hathaway and Rebel Wilson joined Graham to promote their new comedy The Hustle, which of course means they had to answer the age-old question for anyone involved in anything comedic: was much of it improv? Wilson admits that Hathaway totally gets a kick out of being roasted by her, and suggests that Hathaway’s so easy to insult because of her utter sincerity. “It’s true! My favorite is when you called me an animatronic cock tease,” adds Hathaway, before saying that she only called Rebel Wilson a “big-titted Russell Crowe” in the film because Rebel made her say it (this is a very Anne Hathaway excuse, but I’ll allow it).
It is a well-known fact that we are living in a post-Hathaway-pile-on age, and that she gave a standout comedic performance last year, but it’s still fun to see that she can roll with it and throw barbs of her own. We have decided to Stanne forever.
